Opening Hours
How to Book an Appointment:
- Message us: To request an appointment, request medication , fit note or any other type of admin query – You do not need any log in details to message us.
- Online: Use the NHS App or Patient Access to book your appointment.
- Phone: Call 01923 287100 to schedule, cancel, or change an appointment. Please note that our phone lines are very busy and where possible we would ask you to message us for non urgent enquiries and or call us after 10am. Select the automatic call back option on our phones so that you can get on with your day and we will contact you. You do not lose your place in the phone queue
- In Person: Visit our reception desk during opening hours.
Types of Appointments:
- Routine Appointments: For general health concerns and follow-ups. Within 2 weeks (this may be longer during peak periods or when you are requesting an appointment with a specific clinician (as they may be on leave)
- Priority Appointments: For issues that cannot wait for a routine appointment e.g., new acute illness, mental health, young children. Call or request online.
- Minor Illness Clinics: For single, uncomplicated issues like sore throats or rashes. Run by specialist nurses.
- Urgent Walk-in Clinics: Available at 11am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, for new acute illnesses. Arrive 15 minutes early. The are 5 minute appointments. We have a limited number of these and once we reach capacity we may signpost you to other services including 111 or minor injuries. We recommend you contact us by phone or message us and we will advise you to attend these appointments if there are no other suitable appointments available
- Nurse Appointments: For treatments like routine health checks, immunisations, dressings, cervical screening. Message us or Call to book.
- First Contact Physiotherapist – for Soft Tissue injuries, strains or sports injuries and spinal related pain in arms and legs. For ages 16 and over. Message us or Call to book.
- Blood Test Appointments: Book if invited for medication monitoring or annual review. For GP requested blood tests, we prioritise vulnerable groups in our limited in-house clinic. Others will receive information to book at local hospitals.
Pharmacy First – Most pharmacies can also offer prescription medicine for some conditions, without you needing to see a GP or make an appointment. This is called Pharmacy First.

Conditions they can offer prescription medicine for are:
- impetigo (aged 1 year and over)
- infected insect bites (aged 1 year and over)
- earache (aged 1 to 17 years)
- sore throat (aged 5 years and over)
- sinusitis (aged 12 years and over)
- urinary tract infections (UTIs) (women aged 16 to 64 years)
- shingles (aged 18 years and over)

Home Visit Requests
Patients are encouraged to attend the surgery whenever possible. If you are unable to attend please phone the surgery on 01923 287100 before 10am.
Late arrivals
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, another appointment will be booked for you.
